A renovation project consisting of opening an existing Lounge area towards a pool courtyard and the addition of two new balconies, added towards the view side of the house.

With limited space available on the site, the emphasis was placed on achieving a spatial continuity between the existing Lounge and balcony addition, for the two spaces to function as a single indoor/outdoor space when the separating glass doors slide away. With a new timber ceiling introduced over the Lounge which extends outwards over the new balcony, and the continuation of floor finishes, the inside/outside threshold becomes less clear.
